The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, on the S-facing slope of a low ridge. A raised circular area (24m E-W; 23m N-S) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.4m) along the S and W arcs and incorporated into a field boundary along the N and E arcs. A low lip remains along the internal edge of the bank on the N, E and S arcs. A possible entrance (Wth 3m) is at S. A band of thistles (Wth 3m) to S and W may indicate the line of a silted up fosse. The N and E arcs are covered with overgrowth.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
