The National Monuments Service's description
In gently undulating poorly drained pasture. Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as an oval enclosure (diam. c. 30m) abutting a field boundary to E; the area of the enclosure is indicated as a quarry and the name 'Dooneen (site of)' is added on the 1914 OS 6-inch map. It is not visible at ground level. A possible enclosure (SL034-008002-) lies c. 50m to W.
