The National Monuments Service's description

In the SE quadrant of a circular enclosure (SL033-077001-). A slightly raised roughly circular area (30m N-S; 27m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.8m) SW-N and by a low scarp N-SE. Elsewhere the interior is slightly truncated by the inner edge of the fosse of an ecclesiastical enclosure (SL033-077001-). The bank is mostly gently curved but becomes straight from NW-N and this appears to be its original form rather than a later modification. The interior slopes slightly down to SE. The remains of a possible souterrain (SL033-077003-) exists in the SW quadrant close to the terminal of the bank at SW. A field boundary (see SL033-075001-) with a fosse on its E side cross the interior on a NNW-SSE axis, off-centre to E. There is a field system (SL033-075001-) in the adjoining field to E and another rath (SL033-078---) lies c. 100m to SE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
