The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a break in a NW-facing slope, just above a steep fall (H c. 6m) of ground at NW and N. A slightly raised roughly circular area (14m N-S; 13m E-W) defined by an earth and stone bank (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 1.25m) NW-W. The bank survives best E-W. A low mound (diam. 6m) is located on top of the bank at E. The interior is undulating with scatters of moss-covered rocks protruding from the ground. The N half of the interior is raised c. 0.4m above the S half, the interface defined by an erratic and uneven E-W break of slope.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
