The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a N-facing slope. An oval area (c. 120m NW-SE; c. 79m NE-SW) defined by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth 3-5.7m; int. H 1m) with an external fosse (Wth 5.5-8.3m; D 0.6-1.3m) along the SW, W and NW arcs and by a scarp (max. H 2.2m) elsewhere. An outer earthen bank (Wth 3m; max. ext. H 0.8m) survives along the NW edge of the fosse. The interior, which slopes down to N, is crossed by cultivation ridges. A triangular enclosure (SL032-193002-) abuts the inner face of the bank at SW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
