The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on a nearly level terrace on the S-facing slope of a ridge; within the W half of a possible graveyard (SL032-141002-) and at the centre of a possible ecclesiastical enclosure (SL032-141003-). A rectangular structure (int. 12.35m E-W; 5.2m N-S) outlined by the sod-covered base of a wall (Wth 1.5-1.7m; H 0.2-0.6m) except on the S side where only a scarp remains. This structure is not indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map but its size and orientation, and its location suggest it may be the remains of a small church.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
