The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, below the crest of a S-facing slope. The rath is levelled. It is now evident as a roughly oval area (c. 45m N-S; c. 37m E-W) defined by a slight scarp (H 0.1m) along the E, S and SW arcs and by a flat-topped bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m) along the N arc. A hedgerow extends NW-SE across the rath. The rath is indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as an embanked circular area (diam. c. 40m) and on the 1914 OS 6-inch map as a hachured subrectangular area (c. 45m NE-SW; c. 55m NW-SE).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
