The National Monuments Service's description

In lowlying pasture , located on level, gently elevated ground bordered to W by the SW flowing Douglas River, and to E−SE by an expanse of lowlying damp, rush-grown ground. There is a low cliff of limestone outcrop to N; Rockbrook House and associated farmyard are located c. 50m to NE.
This levelled enclosure, possibly a levelled rath, is not indicated on any edition of the OS 6-inch maps. It is visible in current aerial views. The remains are very low profile. It is evident as a very low, circular platform (30m N−S; 31.5m E−W) defined by a broadly slumped scarp (Wth slope 3-4m; H 0.4m), outside which is a fosse, visible as very shallow depression (Wth 3-4m) on the S arc and barely discernible elsewhere around the circuit. There is a rath (SL027-110001-) 155m to WNW.
