The National Monuments Service's description

In undulating pasture, on top of a ridge. A raised oval platform (25m E-W; 20m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 1.2m). Along SE arc the scarp is topped by an earthen bank (Wth 5m; int. H 0.9m; ext. 1.3m) for c. 8m. At the N end of the surviving portion of the bank is a stone-faced entrance (Wth 2m). Remains of stone facing is evident along the inner face of the bank. Some large stone slabs are visible in section along the face of the scarp at N.
