The National Monuments Service's description
According to O'Rorke ([1889], 234-5), stone from the demolished MacDonagh castle (SL026-065----) was used for 'all the houses of Cartron, near Tubberscanavin', this stone 'having been tastefully hammered and chiselled'. None of these stones have been identified or located.
