The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on a low rise. Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 15m) and on the 1914 OS 6-inch map as a raised rectangular area bounded on the NW and NE sides by field boundaries. Now evident as a roughly square platform (c. 20m NW-SE; c. 19m NE-SW; H 1m) bounded on the NW and NE sides by field boundaries and densely overgrown with bushes. Traces of a drystone revetment are evident on the SW side. A large portion (Wth c. 10m) of the interior on the SW side has been quarried away to a depth of c. 1m and a small section of the platform has been levelled on the SE side close to the E corner. A miscellaneous mound (SL025-085----) lies c. 80m to NW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
