The National Monuments Service's description
In a rath (SL025-023----). There is a local tradition of a souterrain in the interior of the rath. A horizontal slab, evident in the centre of interior, may be a roof lintel of a souterrain chamber.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
