The National Monuments Service's description

In rocky pasture, on the S side of a low rise. A slightly raised roughly circular area (34.5m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank NNE-NNW which is levelled for 20m NNW-NNE. The bank is generally low and sod-covered, possibly composed of an earthen base capped by a stone wall with internal and external kerbstones evident in places. It is best preserved S-SW (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 1.5m), obscured by dumped field clearance stones along the E arc and overgrown with vegetation along the S arc. The interior is level; a large slab protrudes from the ground in the S half and two large stones were noted in the W half. There are field boundaries immediately outside the bank to S and W. A rectangular enclosure (SL025-162----) lies c. 70m to S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
