The National Monuments Service's description
Locating in a field of rough pasture, bordered by bog to W, SW and NW. The field slopes gradually to E and S towards the valley of the Gowlan River. This record was not listed in the SMR (1989). It was listed in the RMP (1995) as ‘field wall –pre-bog’ but no source of information or field description was added to the file at that time. The area was inspected in 2014. The field, appears to have been reclaimed from bog. The ground surface, covered in rough grass, rushes, and tufts of heather, is very uneven, with frequent heather-covered, peaty hummocks and much stone breaking the surface. The stones are low and largely obscured by moss, sod or heather, and in general appear to be randomly scattered. It is unclear whether the heather-covered hummocks conceal more stones. One possible linear feature was noted. It consists of a gapped line of stones and heathery hummocks covering a distance of c. 6m on a WNW–ESE axis. It is not possible to be certain that this represents the remains of a pre-bog field wall.
