The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, on top of a ridge. A raised circular area (diam. 23.3m) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 2.4m) with an external fosse (Wth 3m). Remains of an outer bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 1.1) are evident SW-WNW. The inner bank is stone faced internally. A possible entrance (Wth 2.2m) is at SE. Depressions of a possible souterrain (SL021-097002-) occur in the NE and SW quadrants of the interior. The perimeter is overgrown with scrub. Field boundaries extend from the rath to NE, SE and SW. A set of cursing stones (SL021-096----) are possibly associated with this rath.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
