The National Monuments Service's description
On a relatively level patch of rough ground, on the N face of a hill overlooking Ballysadare Bay. The feature, at the junction of three field walls, and partly buried by wall stones, seems to be some form of deliberate structure. It is c. 1m long, 0.75m wide at the S, narrowing to 0.4m at the N. It is represented by two opposed stones, an eastwards leaning example at the W (L 1.1m N-S; T 0.3m; min. H 0.5m) and another opposite it at the E (L 0.95m N-S; T 0.15m; H 0.5m). Between these two there is a displaced slab (1.15m x 0.8m x 0.15m). The role of this stone is unclear but it may have roofed the structure. The nature of the structure is uncertain but it may be some form of cist.
