The National Monuments Service's description
On the S side of Croaghaun mountain; a passage tomb (SL020-181----) is located on the summit of Croaghaun, c. 130m to N. A heather-covered wall (Wth 3-8m; H c. 1m; L c. 175m), composed of large boulders, curves around the base of the mountain roughly SE-SW ending where the hillside starts to drop abruptly on the downhill side. The remains of a subrectangular sunken area (7m NW-SE; 3m SW-NE) occur in the wall at SW, on relatively flat ground. A second similar feature occurs at the E end of the bank. The function of this wall is not known but it may have been associated with the passage tomb. (Bergh 1986, 34-5)
