The National Monuments Service's description

This record refers to one of two possible monastic granges in Dromard parish, Co. Sligo, which belonged to the Cistercian foundation (RO006-068005-) at Boyle, Co. Roscommon (Gwynn and Hadcock (1970, 129). One of the granges may be in Ballinlig townland (SL019-181----), where there is a large rectangular enclosure defined by a fosse, traditionally known as 'the Abbey Field'; the location of the other is unknown.
