The National Monuments Service's description

Located in level, marshy ground at the base of a steep ESE-facing slope which forms the W side of a NE-SW valley. One of a series of fulachtaí fia and burnt mounds which occur over a distance of c. 1.5km along the flat-bottomed valley.
A low, circular mound (diam. c. 7m; H 0.4m) with a well-defined edge from NE-S-W.
A second burnt mound (SL019-212001-) is located 8m to NNE.
