The National Monuments Service's description

In wet pasture, located on the floor of a narrow NE-SW valley. One of several fulachtaí fia and burnt mounds which occur over a distance of c. 1.5km along the flat-bottomed valley. A sub-circular area (max. dim. c.6m) of firm ground, distinguished by short grass growth, surrounded by soft, wet rush-grown pasture. Probing revealed shattered sandstone and charcoal-rich soil. A rath (SL019-042----) is located c. 35m to ESE.
