The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a small island of firm ground surrounded by wet, marshy land, within a small steep-sided valley. A roughly circular raised area (diam. 12m; H 0.8m), with a central hollow , composed of sandstone fragments within a matrix of charcoal-rich soil. Another fulacht fia (SL018-090002-) is located 2m SSE.
