The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, situated at the edge of a high bluff at the S side of an E-facing slope overlooking a bend in the River Dunneill. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Substantially raised, subcircular platform (14.7m N-S; 12m E-W, at top) with steeply sloping, almost vertical, sides (H 1.3m at W, 3m at E). At S the platform merges with the cliff face of the bluff. The flat top of the platform is defined on its perimeter at W by remnants of a bank (Wth c. 0.8m). On the S edge of the platform are the remnants of modern stone wall, on a roughly E–W axis, which forms a barrier along the cliff edge. A farm track skirts the enclosure at N.
