The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a moderate S-facing slope of hillock in natural ash wood. Oval area (dims. 20m E-W; 18m N-S) enclosed by a drystone wall of random limestone rubble (Wth 0.6-1; int. H 1.3-1.5m; ext. H 0.3-1.3m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. From S-NW the wall is extant with the inner and outer sides intact. From NW-NE the inner face of the wall is intact while the exterior side has collapsed. From NE-S only the footings of the wall remain. The original entrance is not recognisable. The interior of the site has been levelled up and raised on the S side to compensate for the underlying natural slope while the N side is lower than external ground level.
