The National Monuments Service's description
Located 10m within the wall footings of Corwillick cashel (SL015-086001-) on the W side of the interior. A slightly curving portion of the passage (L 5m; Wth 1.35m; D 1.1m) extends in a N-S direction. The walls are lined with drystone random rubble walling and the original rounded end wall survives at the S end. The N end is blocked with earth and access to the remainder of the souterrain is impossible. Access to the passage is between gaps in the lintels which consist of long rectangular slabs of limestone (Av. L 1.5m; Wth 0.5m; T 0.2m) laid across the passage. At the S end, the passage is covered by a large roughly rectangular slab (L 1.8m; Wth 1.5m; T 0.25m).
