The National Monuments Service's description

Petrie (1837, 248) records this as follows: 'Situated in teh same field to the west of this circle [Carrowmore 43; SL014-209060-], only eleven stones remain. The others have been removed to form a wall adjacent, diameter seventy-two feet [21.95m]' (quoted in Bergh 1995, 196, Carrowmore 44).
