The National Monuments Service's description

At Carrowmore passage tomb cemetery. This monument was destroyed in the 19th century. When seen by Petrie in 1837 it consisted of a boulder circle (int. diam. c. 13.7m) with nine boulders still in situ; there was no trace of a central structure (Stokes 1868, 246; no. 25). By 1888 the remains had been entirely removed (Wood-Martin 1888, 53).
