The National Monuments Service's description

One of four buildings (SL014-076044-; SL014-076045-; SL014-076046-; SL014-076052-) located on a narrow ledge on the N side of Knocknarea Mountain, it consists of the overgrown rudimentary remains of a small rectangular space (c. 2.5m square) defined by limestone slabs set on edge. No formal entrance can be identified. From their location on the isolated and limited ledge it is suggested that these buildings may have been used in one and the same context. What that context was, and especially its date, remains unknown (pers. comm. Stefan Bergh, 14 August 2014).
