The National Monuments Service's description

Within an enclosure (SL014-147002-) at the centre of an embanked enclosure (SL014-047001-). This cairn consists of a stone-built conical mound (diam. 7m; H 2.5m), constructed of unshaped field stones of large (L 0.44m; Wth 0.25m) to medium (L 0.2m; Wth 0.15m) size. It is partly covered with earth, moss and brambles. Timoney (1984, 324, no. 16) suggests that this and a nearby possible barrow (SL014-048----) may be 'nineteenth century demesne monuments on the Ormsby demesne'.
