The National Monuments Service's description

At Ballinlig raised rath (see SL 013-084001-). Within the NW part of the internal area is a linear depression (Wth. 1.5m - 2m), indicating a possible collapsed souterrain. This extends for c.15m in a S direction from close to the inner face of the bank at N and two possible side passages (L 5m - 6m) extend at right angles to the inner face of the ringfort bank at W.
