The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture W of Ardabrone Castle (SL013-048001-). Rectangular raised area (29.7m E-W; 39.4m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank with characteristic high corners, which has been completely removed at S and W, a low counterscarp, which survives at E and an intervening fosse which can be seen at E. The moated site is bisected at N by an E-W field wall.
