The National Monuments Service's description
Not marked on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on an ENE-facing slope in hilly coastal pasture. Extant remains comprise a subrectangular mound of earth and stone (dims. 20.7m NNW-SSE; 19.5m ENE-WSW) defined by a scarp (H 0.5m at ENE - 1.25m at SSW) which from SSW-SW-W has a well defined fosse at its foot (Wth. 4.3m; D 0.3m). An earlier report (OPW 1991) recorded a low bank of earth and stone at the upper edge of the scarp at SE (Wth. 2m; int. H 0.2m - 0.4m) of which there are no upstanding remains now visible. From W-WNW the perimeter is incorporated into a NNE-SSW field boundary. Original entrance not recognisable.
