The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the edge of a steep-sided bluff overlooking a bend in the River Dunneill. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 25.8m) enclosed by a substantial bank (Wth. 6.3m; int. H 1.1m at E, 1.5m at W; ext. H 1.5m at E, 1.8m at W). At the inner foot of the bank at W are traces of an stone kerb. At N the outer face of the bank merges with the steep sides of the river gully. A raised area or terrace (Wth 3m) abuts the inner face of the bank at NE-E. There are breaks in the bank at NE (Wth. 2m) and SW (1.4m). The former may be the original entrance.
