The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on level ground in gently undulating pasture. Raised rectangular area (dims. 40m NW-SE; 32m NE-SW) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.1m; int. H 0.9m) with an external fosse. A break (Wth 7m) in the bank at NE marks the position of the original entrance. There are modern breaks in the bank at ENE, SSE and WSW. The fosse in infilled but is visible on all sides as a band (Wth 6m) of darker grass.
