The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a gentle NNE-facing slope overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Depicted on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure. The NNE half of the site has been destroyed by quarrying. The surviving portion of the site comprises a poorly-defined, irregularly-shaped mound of earth and stone (diam. c.25m; max. int. H 0.4m; max ext. H 0.3m) upon which some spoil from the quarry has been deposited. The site is known locally as a 'fort'.
