The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on level summit of a broad E-W orientated ridge, in gently undulating good pasture. Raised circular area (diam. 22m) enclosed by a narrow bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.9m; int. H 0.4m). At the external foot of the bank is a berm (Wth 2.4m) and a second bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.9m; int. H 0.6m). ). At the external foot of the second bank is a berm (Wth 2.7m) and a third bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.2m). A large glacial erratic in the form of a conglomerate block (1.4m3) is incorporated into the internal bank at W. From NW-NE the second bank has been eroded out and is only barely visible. Both of the berms/in-filled fosses enclose the entire site and the external third bank encloses the site SW-NW with traces only visible elsewhere. The original entrance is not recognisable. There are breaks in the inner bank at E (Wth 2m) and at S (Wth 4m). Neither have opposing breaks in the second bank.
