The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, in a lowlying area bordered immediately to E by the rising slope of a small hill, and c. 15m to SW by gently rising ground. Shown on the 1837 OS 6-inch map, but not on 1913 edition. Raised trapezoidal area (30m NNE–SSW; 22.5m WNW–ESE at NNE end, 19m at SSW end) defined by an earthen bank. On the E side, the bank cuts across the base of the hill slope so that on this side it is steeper internally and lower externally than elsewhere. The bank (Wth 5-6m) is gently flattened on top (Wth top c. 1m) with a generally low internal slump (int. H 0.4m at WNW, 0.7m at ESE) and a pronounced, broadly slumped external slope (ext. H 1.6m at WNW, 1m at ESE). The bank at the SW angle of the enclosure appear to be more substantial and to project (L c. 6.5m) outward further than the three other corners of the enclosure. The interior is divided in two, slightly NE of center, by a low, broadly slumped bank (Wth c. 3m; H 0.45-5m) on a WNW–ESE axis. The interior is at slightly lower level to S of the dividing bank. There is a low area (Wth c. 3m) in the center of the bank on the NNE side of the enclosure which appears to represent the original entrance.
