The National Monuments Service's description

Located at the NE end of a modern concrete farmyard. Roughly circular-shaped block of stone (0.45m x c. 0.4m; H 0.28m) with central circular depression (0.26m x 0.28m; D 0.13m) in its upper surface. The stone has a roughly circular horizontal cross-section but its vertical cross-section is rather bucket-shaped, with relatively vertical sides and a flat base. The central depression is smooth-surfaced, with gently sloping sides grading into a rounded base. The provenance of the stone is unknown (pers. comm. Leo Leydon 2015).
