The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a steep sided hillock in small wooded area 20m to NW of a farmhouse and yard. Natural ground level falls away steeply from the site WSW-N. Raised circular area (diam. 28m) defined by the remains of a drystone wall. The interior is raised to compensate for the underlying natural slope. From N-E, the enclosing element is a bank of rubble stone (Wth 2m; int. H 0.6m) with no facing evident. From E-SW the walling has been rebuilt (Wth 2m; int. H 1.2m) with the external facing intact and isolated short stretches of the inner facing. From SW-N the footings of the wall remain only (Wth 2.1m; int. H 0.1m) on the raised interior with the raised portion of the interior externally faced with stone (ext. H 1.65m). Original entrance not recognisble.
