The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on an E-W orientated ridge on a slight NE-facing slope. Views are excellent in all directions. Circular area (diam. 20m) enclosed by a bank of rubble limestone (Wth 1.5-4m; int. H 0.6-0.9m; ext. H 0.6m). No fosse visible. The bank encloses the site SE-NE; the external face has been rebuilt as a field wall SE-W and a field wall has been built on top of the bank W-NE. A NNW-SSE orientated drystone field wall crosses the site intersecting with the cashel bank at NE and at SE. To the E of this wall the bank is absent and the line of the bank is defined by a very slight scarped edge. Original entrance not recognisable.
