The National Monuments Service's description
In Cliffony village, in the garden of a private house. This bullaun stone consists of a sandstone boulder (0.5m by 0.6m; H 0.5m) which is squarish in shape and profile, with rounded corners. The sides are relatively vertical, with a rough, uneven finish, and the top/upper surface (0.5m by 0.48m) is flat and smooth. There is a circular hollow (diam. 0.25m; D 0.15-0.2m) in the centre of the upper surface. The hollow appears to be relatively straight-sided, with the sides inclining inward slightly to meet a flattish base.
According to local information, this bullaun stone came from Agharrow townland, somewhere in the vicinity of Staad Abbey (SL005-022001-); however, its exact provenance is uncertain.
