The National Monuments Service's description
Located immediately N of an ecclesiastical enclosure (SL001-001001-) known as the ‘Cashel’. Traditionally known as ‘Teachanalais’ (Teach an Allais or ‘sweat house’). This tiny cell or clochaun stands below the outer wall face of the Cashel on the north side. A low, narrow doorway on the north side gives access to simple cell, oblong on plan with rounded corners, and with coursed rubble walls corbelled to flat roof lintels formed by two large sandstone slabs. The cell measures 1.5 wide within walls 0.5 m thick. It is 1 m high internally, 1.3 m overall (in fact the floor slopes upwards from the rear wall towards the entrance). The doorway is 0.6 m wide and 0.5 m high.
