The National Monuments Service's description
At the SW-facing crest of a broad NW-SE esker. Subcircular grass and scrub-covered area (dims 34.7m NW-SE; 31m NE-SW) sloping down to the SE, defined by an overgrown earth and stone bank (Wth 5-7m; int. H 0.4-1.2m; ext. H 2-2.8m) with an outer fosse (Wth of top 9-11m; Wth of base 2.5-4m; D 1-1.2m), and an outer bank (at NW: Wth 4m; ext. H 1m) which does not survive NW-NE and SE-SW. There is an entrance (Wth 2m) through the inner bank at SE. A NE-SW stone wall bisects the interior and traces of a stone wall survive on the inner bank at S. There is a local tradition of its use as a children's burial ground (RO056-012002-).
