Situated on a fairly level landscape. This is a chapel-of ease to the parish church of Drum (RO051-065001-). The church is a rectangular structure (int. dims 10.9m WNW-ESE; 5.7m NNE-SSW) defined by the base of stone walls (T 0.8m; max. H 1.2m), but no doorway or windows are visible. It is at the NW corner of the private D-shaped burial ground (RO054-005002-) of the Naughton family (dims c. 25m NNE-SSW; c. 25m WNW-ESE) defined by iron railings with the straight side at N. The Naughton mausoleum, which was built in 1797, is just S of the church. By conforming, Donnagh Naughton retained over 500 acres in the 1660s, largely around Kilmocolmock (Simington 1949, 93-6), and his descendants created the demesne of Thomastown. The graveyard is within a subcircular grass-covered enclosure (RO053-005003-) (dims 68m E-W; 60.5m N-S), which is depicted as a tree-ring on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. The enclosure is defined by a stone spread (Wth 2.4-5.7m; int. H 0.1-0.8m; ext. H 0.2-1.1m), with facing-stones (original Wth 1.7m) visible at S. There is no evidence of burial outside the graveyard, which was conserved in the 1990s. (Egan 1998)
