The National Monuments Service's description
On a rise in a low-lying landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 43.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.7m) separated by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 3.4m; Wth of base 1.9m; D 0.4m) from an outer bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 0.1m) SW-NW, and by a scarp (H 0.3m) and traces of a fosse (Wth 1.5-2m) elsewhere. There is no identifiable original entrance. The monument is overlain by a NNW-SSE field wall W of the centre, and the banks and fosse only survive W of this feature. Cashel (RO051-039----) is c. 220m to the NNW.
