The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a circular enclosure on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on the summit of an E-W ridge towards the W end. Circular flat-topped and grass-covered mound (diam. of top 8.3m N-S; diam. of base 13.5m N-S; H 0.2-0.5m) separated by a fosse (Wth of base 3.8m at N to 7.5m at S; D 0.45-0.55m) from an outer earth and stone bank (Wth 4.8-5m; int. H 0.45-0.55m; ext. H 0.15-0.3m) which is disturbed NNE-ENE. There are traces of an external fosse or drain (at WSW: Wth of base 1.4m) most evident SSW-WSW (max. ext. diam. 34.5m N-S). Rath (RO051-070----) is c. 140m to the E.
