The National Monuments Service's description
Marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described as an Infant Burial Ground, and situated on an E-facing slope in an undulating landscape. The grass-covered foundations of a rectangular masonry structure (RO051-034003-) (ext. dims 13.7m N-S; c. 7.9m E-W) whose walls (T 0.7m) are encased in cairn material are visible. The structure contains some grave-markers and has an entrance (Wth 1.75m) towards the S end of the W wall. The structure is within a D-shaped scrub-covered enclosure (RO051-034002-) (dims 34m N-S; 18.5m E-W) defined by a grass-covered stone spread S-W-N and a N-S masonry wall on the straight E side but with no evidence of the enclosure E of this feature where there is a farm shed.
