The National Monuments Service's description

A castle at Coolagarry had been lost by John Birchel before 1596 (Cronin 1980, 117). This is the only reference to this castle, apart from Michael Pennocke leasing a Quarter there amounting to 50 acres (Simington 1949, 100). Could the castle be a misrepresentation for the castle at Coolnageer (RO045-171001-) or Cornalee (RO048-001----)? Otherwise it was not encountered.
