The National Monuments Service's description

Marked only on the 1915 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped enclosure, and situated on a gentle NE-facing slope overlooking Lough Funshinagh, a large turlough, c. 300m to the N and E. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims. c. 25m N-S; c. 25m E-W) defined by a flat-topped earth and stone bank (Wth 3.2m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 1.25m) W-NW which is reduced to a scarp (H c. 1m) NW-NNE. The site is truncated by a N-S field bank and townland boundary with Kildurney at E and an E-W field bank at S. There is a local tradition of, but no evidence of, its use as a childrens' burial ground (RO045-134002-) (Gannon 1972).
