The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a curved filed boundary (C c. 90m) S-W-N on the 1837 and 1915 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gently undulating landscape, which is a designed landscape with Grange House c. 500m to the ESE at the end of a vista contained by two parallel field banks extending between the two. A field bank and hedge (Wth c. 2m; H 1m) with an outer ditch curves SSW-NNE around a rectangular, grass-covered earth and stone mound (RO045-126002-) (dims of top 6.1m NW-SE; 4.2m NE-SW; dims of base 10m NW-SE; 7.8m NE-SW; H 0.7-0.85m). There is no evidence that the enclosure was ever completed on the E side.
