The National Monuments Service's description

Depicted as a circular embanked enclosure cut by a NNE-SSW roadway towards the perimeter at NW on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is situated on a level landscape. This is a D-shaped grass-covered platform (dims 38m NE-SW; 16m NW-SE) defined by a scrub-covered earthen bank (Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.3m) and slight traces of an outer fosse (Wth of base 1.5m) NNE-E, and by an earthen bank (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.3m) SSW-SW. It is truncated by a NE-SW roadbank at NW and the perimeter has been cut back to a scarp (H 1m) E-SW. There are entrances at E (Wth 2m) and S (Wth 1.3m). Rath (RO045-008----) is c. 100m to the NE.
